Proven Leadership. Real Results.
I am running for re-election to the school board to continue the work of putting students first, supporting teachers, and strengthening our schools. During my first term, we didn’t just talk about change — we delivered meaningful results that impact families, educators, and students across our district.
Accomplishments from My First Term:
• Fair and equal play policy in athletics
• Required financial literacy education for graduation
• New alternative elementary school for students needing additional support
• Middle school sports expansion
• Teacher experience recognition in hiring
• Added School Resource Officer for improved safety
• Approved JROTC leadership program
• Added girls high school wrestling opportunities
When I first ran for School Board, I committed to supporting teachers, strengthening school safety, expanding student opportunities, and being a responsible steward of taxpayer dollars. We didn’t just make promises — we delivered results.
As Board President, I helped lead the effort to require financial literacy for graduation, expand middle school athletics, open a new alternative elementary school, add girls high school wrestling, approve JROTC leadership programming, strengthen campus safety by adding a School Resource Officer, recognize teacher experience in hiring, and promote fairness in athletics.
Strong schools are built on strong teachers. We have worked to better support and retain our educators because when teachers succeed, students succeed.
As a retired State Trooper, student safety — both physical and emotional — remains a top priority. Parents should continue to have the primary voice in their children’s upbringing.
In my professional role as Vice President of DuVall Financial Group, I oversee budgets and long-term planning. I bring that same commitment to transparency, accountability, and responsible spending to the School Board.
My wife and I have proudly called Kearney home for nineteen years. One daughter is a proud KPS graduate, and our two younger daughters are currently enrolled. This work is personal.
We have made meaningful progress, and there is more to do. I am running for re-election to continue strong, steady leadership for Kearney Public Schools.
I would be honored to earn your vote.
